Well its this time of year in Scotland...what time...no not Chicco time its FESTIVAL time. Yes all sorts of festivals happen over the summer months not only north of the border. Its everywhere and I love it. From Music to film and as my picture indicates above, here in Scotland we have lots of Gala days and Highland Games. Guess what after seeing this picture I decided to go to one from a choice of sooo many. So where in Scotland were men "tossing the caber" or throwing a hammer! Damn well everywhere yippee. So of to perv at all these men in kilts and see whats underneath.
How disappointed I was at the talent line up the cast of the film Deliverance would not look out of place. I picked an obscure village toooo far up North. However after a few glasses of wine...yes wine not a whisky kinda gal everything was funny and bareable. I'm sure their are fantastic Highland gatherings and as I explore what we in Scotland has to offer will have an adventure to myself over these summer few months...I say this flipantly as the weathers not been that great.
OMG do some people take things serious as an age old tradition. My next adventure is a place called Crieff aaahh what the hell I gotta see this Horseman and "Big Rory" if their isnt tooo many highland groupies around him!!!
The 2008 Crieff Highland Gathering is building up to be another fantastic Games.
Crieff will once again play host to the Scottish Professional Heavyweight Championship and if last year's competition is anything to go by, this year's should be a real spectacle.

Our special attractions for this year are the Devil's Horsemen who will amaze the crowds with their Medieval Jousting and Big Rory will be back to entertain the crowds with his sidekick, Ochie the Dog.
We will also be running the highly successful Fayre in the Square on Saturday 16 August, the day before the main event.
So we look forward to welcoming you to Crieff on the 16 and 17 August 2008.

I just wanted to say thank you to a client that booked me who shared memories of his experiences of the highland games here in Scotland and tossing the hammer competition has several meanings to me now hee hee xxx
